Nothing terribly exciting has been happening in my calligraphy practice. It's a lot of...well... practice. I'm still learning the letterforms so it's mostly been a lot of writing letters over and over and over again. The thing about calligraphy is that it has to be consistent. Every time you write a letter it should look almost exactly the same, like a font. So for now it's a lot of writing and rewriting.

- I was holding my pen at the wrong angle and it was causing me to flick ink everywhere. Watching a tutorial made me realize this and things got much easier once I changed my pen angle.
- Switched to a higher quality paper. Much better. Now my pen nib isn't shredding the paper and getting clogged.
- Sometimes it's fun to let the ink run out so you can see the outline of the letter (see letter "q" in photo above
- My hand hurts
